Founded since 1964, we represent Muslim students on campus and beyond by providing socials and welfare support, a platform for students to learn more about Islam, and a means to which they can practice their religion, as well as providing opportunities for students to put faith into action. Whatever your background, your faith or beliefs, everyone is welcomed! We inspire:
~ To provide a forum where Muslim students can meet, get to know each other and form bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood between each other through organising various recreational, educational and charity events.
~ To organise events that allow both Muslims and non-Muslims to gain deeper knowledge and understanding of Islam.
~ To look out for the welfare of Muslim students on campus, whilst raising awareness of any issues that are affecting Muslims, both nationally and internationally.Find out more about us and USIC
This year we are extremely excited and honoured to participate in a national campaign The Mosque Project during this holy month of Ramadhan! We will be working alongside 18 other ISOCs across England to raise money to build mosques in places of need! This year we have teamed up with Leeds University Union Islamic Society and Uel ISoc to collectively raise £6,500 towards building a mosque in Pakistan. Read more and find out how to donate.
